Summer seminar 2016 for radiation disaster medical care ended successfully

During the six days starting on August 22 in Fukushima prefecture, Fukushima Medical University, Nagasaki University, and SMHF co-hosted the third summer seminar for raditaion disaster medical care. 16 students of medicine and nursing gathered from all over Japan to attend the seminar.

The first two days were spent for classes and practices in Fukushima city. On the third day and later, they moved to Kawauchi village for additional classes, visited Fukushima 2nd Nuclear Power Plant and distressed towns of Namie and Tomioka, and attended events with residents of Kawauchi village.

We feel grateful that the seminar went successfully, thanks to the support and cooperation of concerned organizations, such as Kawauchi village, TEPCO, and the Ministry of the Environment.
